How does it work?
Bookable works by identifying specific slot types in your EMIS appointment book and making them available for patients to book.
To enable this, you’ll need to:
Create the Healthtech-1 slot types
Assign these slot types to appointment slots in your appointment book
During the onboarding, you will be shown how to create the slot type so you can whiz to the second part of this article. However, if you missed it, here's how 👇
1. Head to EMIS, click 'Appts Config', 'Slot Types' and click 'Add...'
2. Set up Face to Face slot types in your appointment book and complete as shown in the screenshot below.
💡 Note
Make sure you use the slot name exactly as stated - you can copy this: "Healthtech1 Not Bookable F2F"
Please do not set appointment embargos.
3. Then set up Telephone slot types in your appointment book and complete as shown in the screenshot below.

Please do not set appointment embargos.
And it's as simple as that - you've created the slot types 👏
How to add slots for patients to book?
You can either update existing slots or edit your session templates.
Option 1: You can make ad hoc changes to to the slots already in your appointment book by:
Highlighting the slots you wish to change
Right clicking your selection and select "Slot properties..."
Change the slot type to "Healthtech1 Not Bookable F2F or TC", make sure no embargos are set and hit "OK"
Option 2: You can update your session templates to make permanent alterations to future sessions by:
Going to "Create Session"
To edit an existing template, click "Load from template"
Then search for and select the session you want to edit
Highlight the slots that you'd like to change, right click, and select "Slot properties"
Change the slot type to "Healthtech1 Not Bookable F2F or TC", make sure no embargos are set and click "Apply and Close"
Repeat as you wish and when happy choose "Save template". Any future sessions you create will have the new layout including Bookable slots!
Repeat these steps for all the session templates you want to make changes to
