How does it work?
Bookable works by identifying specific slot types in your SystmOne appointment book and making them available for patients to book.
To enable this, you’ll need to:
Create the Healthtech-1 slot types
Assign these slot types to appointment slots in your appointment book
During the onboarding, you will be shown how to create the slot type so you can whiz to the second part of this article. However, if you missed it, here's how 👇
1. Head to SystmOne, click 'Setup', 'Appointments' then 'Slot Types'
2. Set up Face to Face slot types in your appointment book and complete as shown in the screenshot below.
💡 Note
Make sure you use the slot name exactly as stated - you can copy this: "Healthtech1 Not Bookable F2F"
Please do not set appointment embargos.
Make sure that:
- the Type is set to Bookable
- Bookable through remote booking is ticked
3. Then set up Telephone slot types in your appointment book and complete as shown in the screenshot below.

Make sure you use the slot name exactly as stated - you can copy this: "Healthtech1 Not Bookable TC"
Please do not set appointment embargos.
Make sure that:
- the Type is set to Bookable
- Bookable through remote booking is ticked
How to add slots for patients to book?
You can either update existing slots or edit your session templates.
Option 1: You can make ad hoc changes to to the slots already in your appointment book by:
Right clicking on the coloured bar at the top and navigating to "Administration" > "Amend" to open the dialogue.
On the right hand side of the window, highlight any slots you'd like to convert, then click "Amend". Set the slot type to one of the "Healthtech1 Not Bookable F2F.TC" slots
Option 2: You can update your rota templates to make permanent alterations to future sessions by:
Going to "Setup" > "Appointments" > "Rota Templates"
Next, find the Rota Template you wish to add slots to and click "Amend"
On the right hand side of the window, highlight any slots you'd like to convert, then click "Amend". Set the slot type to one of the "Healthtech1 Not Bookable F2F/TC" slots
