When we file a lab report we send the patient a SMS message to tell them the outcome of their test and any further steps they need to take.
When do you send the messages?
Messages are sent between 6am - 8pm, 7 days a week.
We file lab reports 24 hours a day and we'll write a consultation note when the lab is filed. Messages for lab reports filed after 8pm will be scheduled for 6am the next day.
What if a patient has multiple tests?
If a patient gets multiple lab results within 4 hours, we will combine the messages into one text, to avoid sending multiple text messages. We also make sure that patients always get their message within 24 hours of their test results being available.
