We can file your Event Degrade tasks and Medication Authorisation tasks on EMIS for your entire practice - once a day, every day, at no extra cost! โœจ

What does this do for you?

EMIS is now automatically filing GP2GP records across their system as part of a new feature rollout. This process runs in the background and may appear as if it's coming from Healthtech-1, but itโ€™s fully managed by EMIS.

On our end we have automated the filing of event degrade and medication authorisation tasks!

โœ… How it works:

  • We handle event degrades and medication authorisation as needed, ensuring all tasks related to patient records are properly updated - meaning one less task on your plate!

Please note, filing of event degrades and medical authorisation is optional and careful consideration should be given before it is turned on by practices. Please ensure to read Optum's guide on degraded tasks.

โ€ผ๏ธ What we don't do:

  • Allergy degrade tasks: These tasks are not processed automatically. Youโ€™ll still need to manually handle these items if they appear in your task list.

How to give us access for GP2GP degrade tasks filing

To allow us to file your GP2GP transfer and event degrades, you need to grant Global Viewer access to each of our smartcards.

โ—๏ธFor medication authorisation tasks, the correct RBAC (B0428 - Personal Medication Administration) must also be assigned to each smartcard ๐Ÿค“.

If the Hub shows the smartcards donโ€™t have the required access, you can add the RBAC via the Care Identity Management portal or email your RA to request it.

Weโ€™ve put together a short video that shows you how to set up global viewer access.

Just a heads up, the video includes example names and smartcards, which will differ for each practice. You can find the smartcards you need to set this up for in your Hub, under Settings > Smartcards.

You can confirm whether Global Viewer access has been successfully enabled by going to โš™๏ธ Settings > GP2GP on the Hub. If access isnโ€™t set up correctly, a red banner will appear to let you know!
