When you first go live with Healthtech-1, we'll pull your catchment area data from the NHS EDEC portal.

πŸ” How do I check my Catchment Area?

You can check the catchment area Healthtech-1 have for your practice by going into your βš™οΈ Settings page πŸ‘‡

If your catchment area needs updating you'll need to ensure you do this first on the NHS E EDEC portal. NHS E have updated their catchment area mapping tools and you can update this at any point here - https://nhs-gp-catchment.scwcsu.nhs.uk/.

Your practice manager or someone at your practice who does the 'EDEC submission' should be familiar with this and have a login.

‼️ Once you have updated this on the NHS EDEC portal please send across an email to [email protected] or use the chat bubble below so we can update things on our end.

Just worth noting NHS E only update the catchment database every 2 weeks for us to pull any updated data across.

Out of Area registrations

You'll need to make sure that NHS E Find a GP have the the correct catchment settings for your practice. If you'd like to accept out of area patients you'll need to ask the NHS E national service desk to add a tag to your surgery on the 'Find a GP' page. The national service desk can be reached at [email protected].

❗️Please use the check box below on the Hub to also let us know that you would like to allow patients out of your area to register. Find out how Out of Area registrations works.

Alternatively, If you'd like to stop OOA patients from being able to submit a form at all the best thing to do is to email [email protected] - they'll be able to amend the settings on the NHSE form so no OOA can come through.

βœ… ❌ Allow and Disallow certain postcodes:

You can allow patients from certain postcodes outside your catchment area by adding them here:

And also disallow any postcodes that are within your catchment area by adding them here:

πŸ‘‰ Things to note

Make sure to hit the save settings button when you make a change. However, if you make a change you'd like to reverse, you can press reset.
